While the Garnets got to extend their winning streak over the Huskies, they got to do so in front of a full crowd, something they didn't get to do when the two teams last met during the Fall II season in April. It was a lot of fun. To get the full experience, it was just amazing.

Both teams traded first-quarter touchdowns to start, but then the Huskies temporarily took a lead after a yard field goal by Nick Reed. Rye settled in and didn't allow another Harrison point. A trick-play touchdown pass to Carter Barford, followed by a last-minute touchdown by Kovacs gave the Garnets a lead at the half. After the break, the Garnets continued to pull away and add to their lead.

Whaling added a touchdown early in the fourth quarter, and then Rye topped things off with a strip-sack that led to a fumble recovery touchdown for Charlie Saurack. With the win, the Garnets stay unbeaten and will be back to work on Monday, as they attempt to continue their winning ways through the rest of the regular season.

After a delay of game penalty on Rye backed the Garnets up to their own yard line, Kovacs ran 77 yards, untouched, for a touchdown to give Rye a lead with 41 seconds remaining in the second quarter. Owen Kovacs, Rye: The senior quarterback ran for yards and two touchdowns on eight carries. He also completed 5 of 6 passes for yards and a touchdown.

Rye — Caden Whaling ran for yards and a touchdown on 20 carries. He also caught two passes for 70 yards. Carter Barford had a yard touchdown reception. Danni Petti Phine. Dpetti houlihanlawrence.
