ONSP uses educational theater to inform, enlighten and teach new students about variety of social, academic, and personal issues typically encountered during the college years. The actors perform sketches, using a mix of comedy and drama, to actively engage the audience, both affectively and cognitively, about selected topics.

UMETC also employs assistant directors, stage managers, and musical directors at different times throughout the year. Currently no openings are available. Openings will be posted on this site as they become available. Each year, Transfer Connections hires and trains former transfer students to be peer mentors to summer, fall and winter LSA transfer students. This is a paid position and mentors are expected to keep regular contact with group members and plan and implement events throughout the year.

Transfer mentors work hours per week and additional hours as necessary throughout the Fall and Winter terms. The goal of the program is to help new transfer students acclimate to the University, offer a social network and increase their access to essential University services. The application for Winter Information Referral Assistants is due by am on November 29, The Office of New Student Programs is seeking applications from enthusiastic and resourceful students to serve as Information Referral Assistants IRAs and assist with the day-to-day operation of the front desk.

Candidates must have strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. They must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, as well as take on and complete tasks autonomously. Candidates must possess a genuine willingness to assist new students, their family members, and campus colleagues. This position is open only to undergraduate students who will be enrolled in the Winter term and who are in good academic standing.
