It's based on the authors own biography, and the political upheavals of s Argentinia are mixed into the narrative as well as episodes of familyhistory. It's an interesting read, struggling with an existence between belonging and resistance while concentrating on the father-daughter relationship, which is explored in its different, ambivalent facets.
While I enjoyed the story, the "interactive" format didn't do much for me. There is a firs The Book tells the story of a summer in a girl's life. There is a first part which tells the story, and a second one that consists of familypictures, newspaper excerpts and little stories about familymembers. They are numbered, and these numbers are used as references in the main text. The reader can use them as he or she likes, but to me it broke the story in different parts and seemed a bit lazy.

Una historia familiar bien contada, que transmite eso justamente, familiaridad. Esta es la historia de ciertos momentos de la adolescencia de nuestro personaje principal, donde nos narra su familia, la sociedad y situaciones que en verdad afectaban las ideas y comportamientos del resto.
Sin embargo, repito, esto no significa que no me haya gustado. Molt recomanable.
