Burnside was an import line of Guild in the 's to compete with other imports at that time. This bass has a neck-through design and the electronics work as they should. It looks like this bass was re-finished with a custom paint job at some point.
It looks like the painter covered the log on the front of the headstock and the serial number on the back of the headstock so it wouldn't be covered over during the refinish. The Back has a couple of very minor surface scratches but overall this guitar is in a very clean condition apart from those noted marks there is however there is a notable scuff on the lower edge of the horn its not a crack just a scuff to the polyester finish ,please see last An antique from the time, great sound, flawlessly playable - only to be collected by the customer - guitar dated almost 4 months after the takeover.
