On average each year approximately 40 apprentice singers are chosen from a competitive applicant pool. To reduce travel requirements, owing to the remaining uncertainty surrounding the Delta variant of COVID, preliminary audition rounds will be conducted virtually and an abbreviated final round of in-person auditions will take place in New York City.

The videos submitted with an application will be used as the preliminary round audition in consideration for a final live audition. Applicants are required to submit four 4 separate videos of recorded arias. Video files submitted with the application will be used as a preliminary audition for the Season Apprentice Program for Singers.
